FLINTSTONES BUGGY & CAVES ADVENTURE
PRICES PER BUGGY, NOT PER PERSON.
The tour starts at the Flinstones Ranch. First, a short briefing is done to explain rules and how to drive the buggy. Then every guest will be provided with a very light safety-helmet, which is also needed for the caves.
The "Flintstone Buggy Trail" has a length of 10 km/6.25 miles through
a variety of vegetation, rocks, hill-formations and the Dominican countryside, where you will see donkeys, cows, horses, sheep and pigs.
After about 25minutes of driving, we do a stop for real Dominican coffee and chocolate tasting, in an authentic "countryside supermarket".
Then your ride gets even more exciting as the trail goes "rough and wild". There are also some spectacular views of the "cliffs" that have been formed during millions of years.
Once we arrive at the caves, the buggies are parked and we walk to the entrance of the caves.
The caves are magnificent with huge illuminated stalactites and stalacmites accompanied with background music. This is not a commercial cave, therefore the path has bumps and uneven parts and it's not straight; minimum changes have been made so the cave keeps its natural authenticity.
During the walk our guide will explain some interesting facts about the cave and its rock-formations.
The total time for visiting these first caves is about 25minutes.
Once we start walking back, there is Bedrock City! Bedrock City is another group of caves that are located above the large cave, a rare and unique combination.
There you see the villa of Fred Flintstone, the garage with the Flintstone Mobile, the Bedrock Gym, RocDonalds, an ancient ATM and the Bowl-O-Rama, based on the popular cartoon.
Before returning, there is opportunity for refreshments and souvenirs.
An amazing day full of a fun buggy ride, local countryside sightseeing and natural wonders.
